Chinese New Year Walk-a-Bout in Petaling Street

How do us Chinese people prepare for the Lunar (popularly known as the 'Chinese') New Year? Of course, we walk around aimlessly buying things we may or may not require for the said celebrations! Yay! Such are Malaysians. The joy of a grand celebration such as the Lunar New Year in this country is that everyone forgets their difficulties and participates in the festivities. Even in the absence of the since outlawed fireworks/fire crackers (boo!) locals still find new ways to break laws and commit general mayhem.

So please join my friends and I, as I take a walk down a very familiar place - Memory Lane for me personally, but to most of you, Petaling Street.

Credits: Arranged alphabetically - Adela, Dominique, Emily, Jerry & U Joe. With a surprise guest appearance by Raj Steven!
