Not content with being confined to Guangzhou, we have since traveled out to the District of Foshan to learn a spot of kung-fu. Today, we are once again affected with wanderlust. On this fine day, we find ourselves in Shenzhen. How does one get to Shenzhen from Guangzhou? Easy. Take the Guangzhou Metro all the way to the last stop in the District of Tianhe, then switch to the regular trains for a 1.5 hour ride to Shenzhen.
We didn't have much time in Shenzhen so we decided to dedicate our day to one of the premier tourist attractions there, The Window Of The World.
What is this? Sounds tacky you say? I thought it was too, but when I got there, I was rather impressed by it all. In all fairness, it's a theme park, so some degree of cheesiness is expected. The Window of the World (hereinafter referred to as "WotW") is a theme park found in Western Shenzhen with approximately 130 reproductions of various attractions all over the world, all crammed in 118 acres of theme park. Still don't get it? Imagine this - a scale reproduction of the Eiffel Tower in France, a reduced-size Leaning Tower of Pisa in Italy, a model reproduction of the Angkor Wat in Siem Reap, Cambodia, and many more.

As we were leaving for home (in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, of course) the next day, we spent the rest of the day walking about and trying to do some shopping along the way.
As evening came, we prepare to go salsa at 'UP2U Bar', the regular Thursday night joint in Guangzhou. A little surprise there. Emily's birthday falls on the 1st September (today is the 31st August) so at the stroke of midnight, I spoke to some of our new friends in the joint and I got a 'lil birthday dance for her. Happy Birthday Emily!

On the last and 6th day in Guangzhou, China, the pictures were running as low as my batteries. I was genuinely getting tired and as much as I loved the place, I wanted to go home. The last tourist attraction we visited there was the Memorial Hall for Generalissimo Sun-Yat Sen.
This was once again, like a small muzium, minus the artifacts. In fact, what the whole place contained (besides extensive souvenirs) were lots of blown-up pictures with accompanying historical anecdotes. Another plus point for history affictionados. I like my history, but today, i'm just too lethargic to a bother. I don't event have many pictures of the whole thing.
After this, there was to be a spot of shopping, following by dinner and a little more shopping, ending with a taxi ride to the airport by 10pm.
